Start Date: Thursday, February 1, 2018
In the 2018 Great Jewish Books Book Club you’ll receive four books over the course of a year, each thoughtfully selected by Yiddish Book Center staff from the vast treasure-house of modern Jewish literature.
Through reading guides, online discussions with Center staff and fellow club members, and other resources, you’ll explore this diverse selection of titles, which may include poetry, memoirs, essays, short stories, and novels. These works, produced throughout the great upheavals of modernity, speak to our contemporary conflicts and challenges, and to the beauty and sweetness of our traditions.
As a member of the Great Jewish Books Book Club, you will:
- receive four books selected by Yiddish Book Center staff and available to you at a significant discount.
- receive regular emails with book reviews, essays, author profiles, or audio and video recordings to enrich your reading experience and connect you to other members of the club.
- be invited to participate in a members-only online forum, where you will take part in in-depth, real-time discussions of the readings with other club members and with Center staff, as well as occasional online video conferences.
The deadline to register for the 2018 Great Jewish Books Club is December 20, 2017. Members will receive a new book every three months (January, April, July, and October), with online discussions about that book available during those three months.
Cost: $78 for a yearlong membership in the club, which will cover the cost of four books, plus shipping.
Please note: we cannot offer refunds for membership cancellations.
